In a stunning reversal of political trends, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have resoundingly condemned the terrorist organization Al Qaida. "While PETA believes that people and animals often must resort to extreme measures to protect their rights against the western consumer capitalist culture, the recent videotapes found in Afghanistan show that Al Qaida has crossed the line," said PETA spokesman Annie Mallover. "Since the New York and Pentagon attacks were simply the natural reaction of a loving, advanced people reacting to the oppression of the meat-eating, military-industrial complex, PETA had no comment. Now it is clear that Al Qaida murdered innocent dogs in order to test and develop chemical weapons. Those poor puppies! PETA hereby demands that Al Qaida stop their evil tests immediately and switch to humane and loving methods of testing weapons of mass destruction."
